The Space

Retro Revival! Situated in leafy Walker Avenue in the heart of West Perth, the area is a mix of historic character buildings and newer office buildings. This apartment is in a smaller '60s block of mostly owner occupiers. It is a relatively quiet street during the day but after 5pm and on weekends it is delightfully peaceful, and only 100m to Kings Park. The location is fantastic.

Guest Access

The apartment is on the 2nd floor and there is parking for one vehicle included. You are also only 100m to the free city transit bus, which is only several stops from the CBD.

Interaction with Guests

The apartment is fully "self catered". Once you arrive and settle in you will not be interrupted by maids or cleaners. This will be your home away from home. If you would like the apartment cleaned and your linen changed during your stay, we are happy to do that for you for a cost of $40 per hour.

The Neighborhood

West Perth is situated between the CBD and vibrant Subiaco. Without fail, the best part about Subiaco and West Perth, is the close proximity to all the services you could want or need. Plus the friendly local community. You will be nestled in amongst historic residential homes, large and small, fancy and quaint, strong and remodelled or slightly worn and a bit crooked, together with the commercial precinct of West Perth which closes down after 5pm and on weekends leaving a peaceful, leafy ambience for you to enjoy - the area abounds in character. Full of restaurants, cafes, shops, parks and friendly locals, you will love your stay in Subiaco and West Perth, whether for business or holiday.

Getting Around

You are very close to public transport in Walker Avenue. It is only 100m, just a couple of minutes walk, to the free city transit bus which runs along Kings Park Road, which is then only a couple of stops into the CBD. The Perth-Fremantle buses also run on this route regularly all day, every day, providing transport to beautiful Matilda Bay, the University of Western Australia and Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital and the QE II Medical Centre. The CBD is a 20 minute pleasant walk, as is Subiaco.

Other Things to Note

CLEANING/LINEN SURCHARGE: There is a standard surcharge of $100 added to every booking to help us cover the high cost of cleaning and linen service in Perth. This may seem steep for a 3 night booking but it is the same charge levied to a 3 month booking. So come and stay with us for 3 months :) We also have portable baby cots for a one off hire fee of $30 for the cot and linen.

Place's rules

A FEW IMPORTANT HOUSEHOLD THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW … CLEANING & YOUR SECURITY BOND: Please leave our apartment in a clean and tidy condition with all dishes washed and returned to their correct places. An extra cleaning charge will be deducted from your bond if the property is left in an overly dirty or untidy state, or if ovens or cook tops are left in a dirty and grimy state, or linen or towels are badly stained (fake tan, makeup and hair dye being the worst culprits). We will endeavour to provide photographic evidence in such cases. No security bond will be withheld unless we have entered into, or attempted to enter into discussions with you first. The bond will only be withheld in cases of damage, theft or extra cleaning if required. COOKING: Please no cooking of strong smelling foods such as curries or seafood in the houses. It is very difficult to remove these strong food odours and we like to keep our houses smelling nice and fresh for following guests. NOISE: Sorry but we have a strict no party policy. Large or noisy gatherings will not be tolerated in our peaceful residential neighbourhoods. RUBBISH: Please place all household rubbish in bin bags (kept in the kitchen) and place in large council bins located near the car parking. Try to recycle where possible. WE ARE STRICTLY NON SMOKING DISCLAIMER: Our houses and apartments are rented and occupied at the sole risk of the tenant. Park Street Cottages, its proprietors and employees shall not be liable for any injury, loss or damage to property or any other claim whatsoever arising out of the rental or occupancy of our properties. Strictly non smoking and sorry but no parties or noisy gatherings because we are in a quiet residential area.
