The Space

This newly remodeled self contained 2 Bedroom 1 Bath Guest Apartment is located on the entire lower level of our property. It is an entirely separate unit from our living quarters. We occupy the home on the top 2 floors and your Guest unit is located on the entire 3rd floor with a private entrance & deck on the same level for your use only. Upon entering the property, you will walk down 2 flights of stairs where you will find a private entry that leads to your Guest Apartment. There is a full kitchen and a private bathroom for your use only. ***BEFORE SENDING A BOOKING REQUEST, PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THE POINTS BELOW AND FEEL FREE TO MESSAGE US FOR ANY QUESTIONS: VISITORS Only registered Airbnb guests are allowed on property due to insurance liability. Additionally, due to some previous guests not being transparent about their intentions, we have installed some security cameras by our main gate entrance to monitor who is entering in and out of our property. We kindly ask that you please take this into serious consideration before sending a booking request. WHAT TO EXPECT We consider our place a retreat for mature guests seeking rest and relaxation. There is no television but are set up with books, board games and of course wifi for any online media. MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT Each and every guest staying at our place must be the minimum age of 30 or older. Guest ID's are required at check in. DECK ACCESS Registered Airbnb guests are welcome to use the deck until 10pm daily in consideration of our neighbors as sound carries in the hills where we live. PARKING There is plenty of street parking. We ask that our guests park close to the house without blocking the driveway. Please position your car in the same direction as others on the street to avoid a ticket. KITCHEN The guest unit you are booking features a full size Fridge with freezer, 2 Burner Electric Cooktop, Microwave, Sink, Electric tea kettle, french press for coffee and several pots and pans. *** PLEASE ALSO TAKE A MOMENT TO READ OUR HOUSE RULES SECTION BELOW SO YOU CAN DECIDE IF THIS IS THE RIGHT PLACE FOR YOU BEFORE SENDING A BOOKING REQUEST AND POTENTIALLY GETTING CHARGED. MASSAGE THERAPIST We have a personal massage therapist who specializes in Swedish, Aroma Therapy, Cupping Therapy and muscle release technique and is able to offer massages on our property. He also works as a Master Therapist at Equinox Gym near our property. If you are interested, you are welcome to request a massage on our outdoor deck or interior space as needed. Rates: $120 for 60 minutes $150 for 90 minutes

Guest Access

You will get a personal greeting at the house to orient you to the property and show you all of the amenities. Check in time is after 4pm to allow enough time for housekeeping between guests and the latest check in time is at 10pm as we go to bed early most nights. No visitors due to insurance insurance liability. Please note there is no laundry available in your guest area. For long term stay, please send us an inquiry for use of our Laundry Machines. Please review ALL house rules before sending a booking request.

The Neighborhood

Woodland Hills is drivable to all of LA, Hollywood, the Beaches and the Santa Monica Mountains. Malibu is a 10-15 minute drive from our place. Very often we take day trips to one of a kind Ojai & gorgeous Montecito in Santa Barbara County which are both exactly 1 hour driving distance. There are also several options for cycling, hiking and even vineyards to horses very close by to our home. We are just over the canyon to Santa Monica, Malibu, Palisades and Venice Beach where we spend a lot of our time as well. Starbucks, Whole Foods Market, Trader Joe's & Target are within 5 minutes driving distance. We are also a quick 20 minutes away from Universal Studios and Hollywood. Disneyland is an hour distance as well. Warner Center and the amazing outdoor Westfield Village shopping mall are just 5 minutes away. Easy access to the 101 Freeway, Ventura Blvd and several Scenic Canyon Drives to the Ocean.

Getting Around

If you are staying for more than 3 days, we highly recommend renting a car at LAX when you land due to the vastness of Los Angeles. Plenty of street parking is available. Burbank Airport is a 20 minute drive + LAX Airport is 35 minutes away (off peak hours). PARKING There is plenty of street parking. We ask that our guests park close to the house without blocking the driveway. Please position your car in the same direction as others on the street to avoid a ticket.

Other Things to Note

The streets in the hills of Los Angeles can sometimes be narrow and windy roads so please drive carefully. We live on a very wide street and there is plenty of parking available. Terrace access available for Registered Airbnb guests until 10pm daily as our Master bedroom is located beside it and unfortunately the noise carries. Please review ALL house rules before booking.

Please kindly disclose the ages of all children. CHECK IN TIMES The earliest our cleaning crew can guarantee having the AIRBNB ready is 4pm. The latest time to check in is at 9:30pm as we like to greet our guests in person to orient them with our property. Before booking, please let us know if you need to request a different check in time to make sure we can accommodate your needs. SHOES We ask our guests to take off outside shoes once entering the AIRBNB unit. Our house is located on a hillside and it drags a lot of dust into the house. Our outdoor deck floors are NOT regularly cleaned so please do not walk onto deck with bare feet and bring dirty feet inside. DECK ACCESS Registered Airbnb guests are welcome to use the deck until 10pm daily in consideration of our neighbors as sound carries in the hills where we live. CHECK OUT TIME Check out out is 11 AM as we have scheduled housekeeping after each check out to get ready for next guest. SMOKING Absolutely no smoking anywhere inside or outside of our property as we are located in a high risk brushfire region. NOISE We kindly ask that you could keep noise to minimum after 10:30pm as we share the property with you. DELIVERIES We ask that you do not order food delivery later than 9:30pm as the doorbell can only be heard on our portion of the house and will wake us if we are sleeping. COOKING Please thoroughly clean the pots or pans after use. DOORS Please keep Airbnb Entry door closed AT ALL TIMES to avoid allowing insects, scorpions, critters, lizards, and other small rodents from entering the interior space. WINDOWS Please close all windows when leaving the house in consideration that the AC or Heat might be on. FLAMMABLES Please do not leave any flammables such as candles or incense unattended. CLEANLINESS Please keep the house reasonably clean and organized during your stay. Kindly do not leave dirty dishes in the sink before check out. PARKING There is plenty of street parking. We ask that our guests park close to the house without blocking the driveway. Please position your car in the same direction as others on the street to avoid a ticket. WATER USE Due to a severe drought in Southern California we ask that you please do not leave water running while brushing teeth and limit shower length to preserve precious water. ENERGY SAVINGS When leaving the apartment, please double check that the Bathroom exhaust and ALL lights are switched off.
