Welcome to Sweet Rock Ranch! Situated among five acres of stunning boulder landscape, the main house and two sleeping cabins can comfortably sleep eight guests.
The main house has two bedrooms (king + queen), two bathrooms, a den, living room, kitchen, and separate dining room that seats ten. One of the two private sleeping cabins is the original homestead house. It is the oldest building in the area, remodeled as a sleeping cabin with a queen bed. The cozy Bunkhouse cabin has a double bed.
Outside, enjoy the back porch, the 'lookout lounge' which overlooks the town of Joshua Tree and the national park, a hot tub, a cowboy tub, a yoga deck, a horseshoe pit, a barbecue area (gas & charcoal), great hangout spots, and more boulder piles than you can explore in a weekend.
Just off the back porch is over 200 acres of pristine desert for you to explore. Nothing but boulders, Joshua trees, wildlife . . . and silence!
A scenic walking bridge takes you to a new six person saltwater hot tub surrounded by boulders - a stargazer's dream! Guest Access We are uniquely situated between the National Park entrance in JT and Pappy & Harriet's in Pioneertown - the best daytime and nighttime activities the high desert has to offer.
Or. . . you may decide you don't want to leave Sweet Rock at all! Interaction with Guests You will have the entire place to yourselves. Owners are easy to reach by phone and happy to answer questions or offer suggestions for planning your stay. If one of us is in the area when you arrive, we'll stop by at check in time. The Neighborhood Located at the end of a dirt road in a sparsely populated spot on the edge of Yucca Valley, with an elevated view of the town of Joshua Tree and the Park.
We like to think of our neighborhood as the countless boulder piles and joshua trees, and the desert wildlife as our neighbors. Other Things to Note The house was recently remodeled comfortably rustic, with a nice representation of work from local artists. Along with a fully equipped new kitchen, there is wi-fi, a desert library, games and dvds.
Every window on the property has a view to other-worldly ancient rock formations.
There are both gas and charcoal BBQs, for your grilling preference.
The main house has central AC & heat, plus an evaporative (swamp) cooler. The cabins both have heat & A/C. ...
